The Village of Marwayne had received a request for a speed bump on 3rd Street North heading out of town towards Township Road 524A. We also received some concerns regarding off highway vehicles on the pathways. After sending out the survey link, we received 57 answers! Please click here to see the results!
The Village of Marwayne was considering dedicating land for the purpose of a community garden. Interested persons would have been able to rent a plot measuring 5 x 5 to grow their own fruit, vegetables, herbs or flowers. As this was a pilot program, we required a minimum of 12 persons to move the project ahead. Each person should have remitted the applicable $50.00 fee and would have been responsible for all upkeep of their plot, including weeding, watering, planting, etc.
Unfortunately, the Village has not received any submissions for participation in the community garden and therefore, the pilot program will not be moving ahead.
We heard you! After receiving over 70 responses, Council for the Village of Marwayne will not be lowering the speed limit on all residential streets within the community from 50km/hr to 30km/hr. You can view the results here!
